SK Bioscience-Government Pharmaceutical Organisation Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

SK bioscience and the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation (GPO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen Thailand's vaccine infrastructure.
The purpose of the MOU will enhance the response system against new pandemics and localise vaccine manufacturing capabilities in Thailand, with a potential extension to the broader Southeast Asia region.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SK bioscience and the GPO (Government Pharmaceutical Organisation) involves the transfer of drug product manufacturing technology for a cell culture-based influenza vaccine developed by SK bioscience. This agreement aims to facilitate the local manufacturing of the vaccine at the GPO's plant.
The signing of MOU between the GPO and SK bioscience marks the beginning of a collaboration to manufacture cell-culture based influenza vaccines locally in Thailand. Specifically, the agreement covers the production of trivalent and quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccines.
The collaboration between SK bioscience and GPO aims to strengthen Thailand's vaccine development and production capacity. They will work closely together in the medium and long term with the goal of making Thailand a vaccine centre in Southeast Asia.
