Greenstone Biosciences and Intel Partner to Advance AI-Driven Drug Discovery
Saturday, June 20, 2026
Greenstone Biosciences, Inc. has entered into a strategic collaboration with Intel Corporation to accelerate AI-enabled drug discovery by combining Greenstone’s large-scale human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) biobank with Intel’s advanced AI and computing infrastructure.
The partnership aims to speed up the development of new medicines by bringing together Greenstone’s expertise in human genetics and biology with Intel’s specialised silicon technology. The combined platform will support large-scale data processing, storage and analysis. Greenstone has developed what it describes as the world’s largest human iPSC biobank.
Through the collaboration, the companies plan to use iPSC-based systems and advanced computing tools to identify patient-specific response patterns, improve the prediction of adverse drug reactions and support faster and more cost-effective drug development.
The initiative also aligns with growing support from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) under the FDA Modernization Act 3.0. These approaches are designed to complement traditional animal studies and improve the relevance of preclinical testing to human biology.
By combining human cellular models, population-scale datasets and AI-powered analytics, Greenstone and Intel aim to support the next generation of drug safety assessment and accelerate the development of new therapies.
