LBL-007 is a fully humanised monoclonal antibody that specifically targets LAG-3 (lymphocyte activating gene-3), a protein involved in regulating immune responses. It is composed of two IgG4 heavy chains and two κ light chains linked by disulfide bonds. LBL-007 binds with high affinity to human LAG-3 and acts by blocking LAG-3's activation of immune function.
In preclinical models, LBL-007 has been studied in combination with another antibody called anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1). By combining LBL-007 with anti-PD-1, researchers have observed synergistic antitumor activity.
