Characteristic Components Analysis in Lonicerae Japonica Flos by LC-UV

Lonicera Japonica Flos (Chinese phonetic name: Jinyin-hua) is a popular and commonly used Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for treating inflammation and infectious diseases. It belongs to the family Caprifoliaceae and is comprised of the flowers or flower buds of the herbal plant. In the current official Chinese Pharmacopeia (2020 Edition), the herbal origin is defined as the species of Lonicera Japonica Thunb. plant.

For implementation of full quality control procedures, besides the methods of identification and assay determination, Chinese Pharmacopoeia has also finalized a characteristic components analysis method in which seven components must be detected, among them six peaks are identified
